Canis Majoris (Father Of All Suns)
VY Canis Majoris (VY CMa) is a red Hypergiant Star located in the constellation Canis Majoris. At between 1800 and 2100 solar radii (8.4–9.8 astronomical units, 2.7 billion km across or 1.7 billion miles) across, it is currently the largest known star and also one of the most luminous star known.
To illustrate, if Earth's Sun were replaced by VY Canis Majoris, its radius might extend beyond the orbit of Saturn (about 9 AU). Assuming the upper size limit of 2100 solar radii, light would take more than 2.7 hours to travel around the star's circumference, compared to 14.5 seconds for the Sun.
HANDS WARMER
Who says you can’t enjoy the great outdoors and stay warm? The Hand warmer is a rugged, metal hand warmer by the folks who make our favorite brand of lighter. It has a high-polish finish and a sleek, thin design so it easily fits into pockets, and it’s virtually odorless and stays warm for upto 12 hours. Besides, its reusable with Zippo lighter fluid and includes a convenient filler cup and warming bag. Whatever you’re doing out there in cold, keep a Hand warmer in your pocket and you’ll stay happy and warm doing it (I'd like to have one of these :D ).
SELF – POWERED EMERGENCY TOOL
The Self Powered Emergency Tool is a 12-in-1 unit featuring a built-in hand crank, so you can generate power when and wherever you need it. Never worry about the batteries for your flashlight, radio or about charging your cell phone and MP3 player. The flashing red light, panic button amd motion activated security alarm help to protect you from hard, at home, while biking, camping, hiking, fishing and boating. If you get lost, the compass and signaling mirror can help you find your way or lead others to find you.
There’s even a built-in storage compartment for pills, matches and other small items.
LED UMBRELLA
In the pre-apocalyptic future, air will be so thick, it will be dark in the middle of the day. Coupled with the almost constant acidic rain, you’ll need to find a way to the noodle shop. Even if you don’t live in quas-futuristic Los Angeles, you can still have the coolest umbrella in the street (especially in countries with Load-shedding). Now, even in the darkest of nights, you’re a lot more visible to cars on the street, making your long walk though the rain a lot safer
Robot English Teachers!!
Almost 30 robots have started teaching English to youngsters in a South Korean city, education officials said, in a pilot project designed to nurture the nascent robot industry.
Engkey, a white, egg-shaped robot developed by the Korea Institute of Science of Technology (KIST), began taking classes Monday at 21 elementary schools in the southeastern city of Daegu.
The 29 robots, about one metre (3.3 feet) high with a TV display panel for a face, wheeled around the classroom while speaking to the students, reading books to them and dancing to music by moving their head and arms.

Polar Bear Wrecks $200,000 equipment
Animals are not fooled as we might think. They know each and every thing happening in their environment and can even detect small or hidden changes as shown in a recent polar bear incident.
Award-winning director John Downer while making a wildlife documentary covered his remote-control camera in a ball of snow to capture a part of the Polar bear life and to see how polar bear mother and her cub crosses the sea ice in Svalbard, Norway, in search of seals. But the snow ball covered camera didn't fool him at all. He went straight to it and tried the explore the thing with the help of its claw and then smashed it into tiny pieces.
After smashing it, his curiosity didn't end up. He set his eyes on a second piece of equipment, Downer's £100,000 blizzard camera. Although the blizzard camera was a remote-controlled but even then the director couldn't steer the equipment away from the huge half a ton polar bear. Finally curiosity ended after destroying both the cameras.
Luckily the film maker had another camera to record the attacks.
'Curiosity satisfied, the animals eventually behaved normally,' said Mr Downer

Dual Core Cell Phone :O
SEOUL: LG Electronics says it will release the first dual-core smartphone next month in Korea, followed soon after by releases in Europe and other Asian countries. The company did not indicate a release plan for the Optimus 2X in the United States.
The new smartphone will run Nvidia's Tegra 2 system-on-a-chip (SoC) that includes two ARM cores with a clock speed of 1 GHz, according to an LG press release published Thursday. The company is claiming the dual-core processor will deliver higher performance and play video and games smoother than devices powered with single-core chips.
The march to multiple cores in smartphones is important as the devices take on more tasks once left to PCs, giving consumers more reasons to turn to the handheld device instead of a laptop. "Dual-core technology is the next leap forward in mobile technology so this is no small achievement to be the first to offer a smartphone utilizing this technology," Jong-seok Park, chief executive and president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications, says in the release.

TERROR FROM ABOVE!!
We have always heard off different threats space poses us. Let it be cosmic rays, asteroids, meteoroids or UV rays. Today we will discuss about the statics about the asteroids, that may collide with our planet within hundred years. we will be discussing the probability and time of the collision of the asteroids and their different sizes.
This time ther is a lineup. We will start with the most likely collision to least likely....U know wat I mean ;D
ASTEROID, Size (diameter in feets), Probability of Impact ,When it could hit
1. 2000 SG344 121 1/770 2068-2073
2. 101955 1999 RQ36 1837 ;o 1/1400 2169-2199
3. 2000 VK184 427 1/3000 2048-2057
4. 2006 QV89 98 1/3100 2019-2042
5. 2008 CK70 102 1/3500 2030-2031
6. 1979 XB 2254 1/3 million 2056-2086
7. 2010 AR85 3609 1/53 million 2015-2106
The 2010 AR85 is the most recently discovered asteroid and may collide us in 2015 and look at the size people!!!! 3609 feet diameter...:O ................Phew! the probability saves us.....1 in 53 million....But the size reminds me of the blockbuster movie ARMAGEDDON!

Smallest Car ever to hit the road
Last time I did a topic on the car, it was about some of the best cars of the world....Now its the other way round.
Lets see what we have, if we talk about the smallest car...
Lets see what we have, if we talk about the smallest car...
The Peel 50, purchased by Ripley's Believe It Or Not! in early 2009, weighs only 130 lbs., and is the smallest car ever approved for street use. The Manx Peel Engineering Co. built about 50 of them in the early 1960s, and only a few of them remain to this day. With two wheels in front, one in back, the Peel 50 hits a top speed approaching 40 miles an hour. Maybe that's a little slow, but how fast do you want to go in a car that probably weighs less than you do?
If any guys out there are wondering how good this car is for picking up chicks. Consider this: It only has room for the driver and a small bag.

MR. BEAN WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ONE... WONT HE?? dud da dud dud daaaa (I'm imitating mr. bean.....com'on people!!)
2. Enough for the tall strange car, today the Briton Andy Saunders decided to bring us one of the world's smallest car. First to spend 240 pounds to buy a 17-year-old Fiat 126, then he and two friends spent three days this time to modify the old car.

NOW FOR THE CHEAPEST CAR!
1. Chinese automaker Geely will soon usurp Tata Motors' crown as producer of the world's Cheapest Car. Geely is developing its own mini car, called the Gleagle IG, that will be even more affordable than Tata’s Nano (Not for Many ;-D ). With a $2,250 price tag, it beats the Nano by almost a grand.
2. Now here's a car one would like to buy, it comes in just five figures....99,999 Indian rupee that is. I am sure everyone like to have one.....
MAY BE NOT!!!
Especially if your cheapest car catches fire cheaply and burn to ground without any reason. The guy in the top left smaller pic is the owner of the brand new car...How do i know if the car is brand new....look at the flowers hanging from the bonnet of the car.
Stay tuned for more...

HOLY HOLES!!
Below are some of the biggest and most magnificent holes on earth
1. Darvaza (Door) - The Burning Gates:
In 1971, geologists discovered a huge underground deposit of natural gas on this site. And while excavating, a whole drilling rig fell into an underground cavern. Natural gas started coming up from the hole. To prevent gasses from escaping, it was set alight and it continues to burn even today. The crater measures roughly 60 meters in diameter and 20 meters deep and is located in Turkmenistan.

3. Isn't This view mesmerizing?? For me it is. It feel likes seeing the top of heaven through Google earth.;-))
Thats the Great Blue Hole, Belize
Situated 60 miles off the mainland of Belize is this incredible geographical phenomenon known as a blue hole. There are numerous blue holes around the world but none as stunning as this one. About 60 miles from Belize City, there is a perfectly circular 1,000 (305 m) feet across and 400 feet (123 m) wide deep.
________________________________________________________________________________
4. This one looks a bit Hellish... well it was for the people there...In 2007, this 300-foot-deep sinkhole swallowed about a dozen homes in Guatemala City.
_______________________________________________________________________________
5. Located in northern California, the Monticello Dam has this one of the biggest holes in the world. This funnel-shaped outlet, allows water to bypass the dam when it reaches capacity, as it allows water to pass through at a rate of 48,400 cubic feet per second. how about a dive in it. It would take more than nearly 3 minutes to reach the bottom

Navy Railgun can shoot at a projectile at a speed of Mach 7
This one railgun by the Navy can also fire projectiles, at an out-of-the-barrel speed of Mach 7 (approximately 5,000 miles per hour).
A railgun is powered by electricity, and accelerates a conductive projectile along a pair of metal rails. The current interacts with the magnetic fields generated by the rails and this speeds the projectile on its very fast way.
In case you are wondering, these projectiles have to be specially made in order to prevent them from melting from the air friction. By the way, it takes 33 Megajoules of energy to fire this gun.

The Future of the Aviation Industry
Right now, if there is an industry bulging up to its full size and expanding without any restraint just like our universe is the Aviation Industry.........from the old C-130 cargo planes to A-380 air bus aviation industry is ready to embrace more and more new designs.
One for instance is the Son of Concord.
Ready to take the passengers at Mach 5, its in a prototype state right now but its still a great landmark to even achieve such great speed with this huge size.
Another Big and New is the Double Tail Propeller Design that would enable gliding for the planes to improve fuel and time efficiency

TRON LEGACY BIKE
Ever Heard of light cycles? No! Go and watch this trailer first...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4RiUy23e9s&feature=player_embedded
The Parker Brothers Choppers in Florida are selling off three working Lightcycle replicas like the ones in the upcoming movie TRON Legacy. If you’ve been dreaming of having your own Lightcycle ever since the first TRON and have the cash for it, better act quickly since there are only three of these babies left.
Each bike will set you back around €27,900 ($35,000) and each unit is custom-built and unique. Even the color is one-of-a-kind since they won’t make a bike the same color as ones already sold. To top it off, these are real, working motorcycles and not just something to sit on and pose for a photo-op.
I doubt buyers will be using these for their daily grocery run but the maker says they are built for street use. Each bike features hubless wheels, neon accents, a fiberglass body and either an electric or gas motor
Card Reader WATCH
The MicroSD Card Reader Watch features a built in microSD card reader that you can hook up to your computer with a USB cable to read microSD cards.
It also features a stainless steel bezel, and a rubber watch band, the watch is water resistant and shock proof, and it features a three year battery life. Now you can feel like James Bond for a while....while copying data that is :-p
