TWO SUNS IN CHINA?! FAKE OR REAL? YOU DECIDE

I was a bit shocked to see this video, recommended by a friend to me. First I thought this is the same phenomenon that happened in the 11th century that I mentioned in my Chapter 2 of my Topic 'How much we know about Universe'.You can read the post first, than you might think that it could be a supernova or something like that.

After watching this video I thought that yes it could be an optical Illusion, or it could be real, but such optical illusion gave me goosebumps. Did you get some? So is it real or fake, please decide.

New Techs

Finally, the laser technology is used as a weapon. It can be said that previously laser was used as a weapon, but it was not the LASER, we used to see in Hollywood movies, a Beam cutting solid metal with a blink of an eye.

Now, US Navy have commissioned their first COMPACT BEAM GENERATOR based LASER on their ships, whose test fire were done in sea.

This laser uses compact beam generator that looks like a bunch of LEDs, This laser is a solid state laser unlike the normal chemical gas lasers. Whats left to see if that this Laser can cut through enemy's metallic ships or would only be able to heat up water ;)

Finally, after 9 Years, 7 Months, 20 Days of the 9/11, the man behind the attack is dead. President OBAMA says, 'We finally won the WAR'. But, many of us, even the government of USA would be thinking that if they really won it?!

If you ask me, then I would say that OSAMA achieved his target. I am not any supporter of ALQAEDA or OSAMA. I am just an ordinary person who can see the facts.

Its been 10 years, since the War on Afghanistan started but after 10 years the person considered as the most dangerous terrorist of the world is killed. Al qaeda may have lost their leader, so what? Leaders are born or created, but what did USA and its allies lost? The trust of their own citizens, the hatred of other nations? The downfall of their economies? The lives of their accomplished soldier who couldn't return to see their family, who couldn't see their new born child, to see their children grow into teenagers.

Today, if you ask the people of these countries, if there government's step to engage in a war was correct or not, the answer from 60% of the people would be 'NO'. So, these countries lost the belief of their own people.

Maybe Osama's target was not America's tall buildings or skyscrapers, maybe it wasn't pentagon or any other high profile building. Maybe he knew that if he want to defeat these countries, he would cause a damage internally. And look what he did. Countries are blaming each other for the derailing economy, the terrorism increased more in many countries. Arab nations woke up from their sleep to kick out the followers of the ALLIES.

Maybe the man people thought to be a FOOL to take countries like USA and UK head on, was not that FOOLISH after all.

Well, but if you think that death of OSAMA would bring peace to every one.

HOW MUCH WE KNOW ABOUT OUR UNIVERSE!

PART 2: PULSARS, SUPERNOVAS & NEBULAE

Last time I asked a question about place with highest number of G. The answer is Sun. Many of you would know which one was it, but few of you would know how much is it. Its 28 times the gravity on Earth. Yes 20G. It means that as soon a you step on the surface of Sun, all of your blood will be pulled from your upper part of the body into your feets, and you would be crushed by the weight of your 'Hair'. The reason for that high amount of gravity is the mass of the Sun, meaning that higher the mass, higher the gravity. Oh, but that's not it, there's a place with even more Gravity than our Sun.

In the 12th century, there was an explosion and a new star appeared on the sky which outshone any other star in the sky. It was so bright that it was seen even in the daytime. The explosion was the result of a death of a star. Questions arrive that how does a star dies and why.
I'll answer the later first. We all know that the stars are constantly burning, and becouse of the gravity, good amount of energy remains within the star, when the star stops burning, or shall we say runs out of Fuel, the energy within the star becomes unstable, and The Gravity pulls the energy in, thus causing catastrophic result, the Death of the Star.

Now, how does the star dies? The answer is simple! BOOOOOOOMM! Well its not a joke, It is a boom, but the explosion is very bright as if billions of stars had joined together.This kind of explosion caused by the Death of a star is called a SUPERNOVA.

Back to what happened in the 12th century. Well, whatever happened, we may not be able to see that, because now all we can see is this

The Crab Nebula. It is a cloud of different gases like hydrogen and oxygen. All that is left of the star is, crushed into such small size. The core is called the neutron star.

This neutron star being discussed is spinning at rate of 1800 revolutions per minute. As it spins, it ejects particles at the speed of Light, making them a continuous flow of particles, like a beam. These beams can be heard on Earth as Pulses, that is why we call them PULSARS. This star have the gravitational pull of 100 Million times that of Sun. The reason that it has so much gravity is that it has a mass of sun crammed into a a body just 20km in diameter. Thus one can say that gravity is not just about mass, but its about the Volume.

Well, all that happened to that star, will happen to our sun, thus ending our world.

Enough about gravity and such huge masses. What about a smaller scale??

Do you know that the our Universe is 99.99% empty?? Stunned?? How is it Possible? Are you 99.99% empty space. Can you see this space. Look at your PALMS for 30 seconds and you will see the vaccum.





OH! YOU ARE LOOKING AT YOUR PALM?? What you are a walking compound microscope!!? :p Of course you cannot see it. But you are 99.99% empty.

HOW MUCH WE KNOW ABOUT OUR UNIVERSE!

It is a common misunderstanding among us that our universe is nothing more than the sun and our 9 planets (which is another mistake, they are 8). Some, with a bit more more knowledge would say that our universe is our galaxy, MILKY WAY.

I am not criticizing any1, you may have all the knowledge about universe but you may not have all of it. Even I dont have any great knowledge, but I am here to share all the info I have.

I'll discuss the details chapter wise and the discussion would be from basic info to somewhat core info.


CHAPTER 1: GRAVITY

Newton in 1600s discovered that every object has a tendency to attract other object. Usually you would say that if the objects attract each other than why aren't you attached to you are screen right now and why aren't you pasted on the wall in front of you? Well believe it or not, but gravity is the weakest force in the universe.

Yes, but despite being so weak, this gravity is the force that has stuck earth and other planets orbiting the sun, and the moon orbiting the earth. Believe it or not but earth's gravity creat a wave on the moon, that jolts the rock of the moon 7 meters. YES A WAVE OF ROCKY SURFACE 7 METER HIGH! and this tide is the only reason known to man that cause the moon to rotate as well!! If there was no gravity pull for the moon then its shape would have been like a rugby ball.

Oh yes, it is the moon, people,  looking like a rugby ball, but its not like it is like a rugby ball, its just an image!!


Gravity varies according to the mass not the size. If you were on the Jupiter, you would feel twice the gravity, you might be able to raise you hand, but not much. Same goes for Neptune, which has 1.5G, where G=9.8m/s2, the grAvity of our planet. Likewise, there is an exoplanet WASP 8B, the planet light year away  from us that has the gravity of 5G, which means that you would feel your skin dangling on your body, and your hair despite being curly, would lay flatout on your head. You may not be able to raise your hands at all, and your face would become very heavy

Below, is professor Brian Cox at a testing center, where he is in a machine that has created 4G gravity and look at his facial expression

He looks a bit disturbed but altogether a bit alright, he said that at 4G he felt his head was very heavy and had problem breathing. Now this is how he looked when he went to 5G

Look at Professor Cox skin, its dangling and according to him it was quite hard to speak and he couldnt see anything at a distance of half a foot, he said that everything was very fogy.

So you see people, if you think that you can go and train at 4G like GOKU (DragonBall Z fans would know what I am talking about), then forget it, you may not be able to raise a hair, forget hands. But I would salute Mr. Brian Cox, for his brave step of getting into this much trouble, just to show us how it feels like being in higher gravity areas.

Oh yeah and one more thing. Do you know which place in our Solar system has the highest gravity and how much is it?

I'll tell you when I return to continue some more info about gravity and our cosmos and influence of gravity in space. Oh and one more thing, if you feel that its boring, then I would like to tell you that I  haven't even started yet. There's a lot more to come.

WEIRD GADGETS!!

Looks like people are running out of ideas, so they now mix different gadgets into one box to build a new one, here are a few examples of how people are wasting the use of technology in creating useless devices, that are still quite expensive.

LUNCH COMMUNICATOR 

A research group at Ochanomizu University in Japan has developed an unusual bento box called the LunchCommunicator. It consists of a clear lunch box installed with a Creative webcam and a Viliv S5 MID.
The purpose of this lunch box is a bit awkward. Once it is opened as your mother prepares your lunch, the webcam automatically records the whole situation until Mom closes it. And when it is opened again on lunch break, the lunch box plays back the preparation footage while you eat or while you try ignoring your lunch and you begin to feel guilty of not eating what your mother has prepared.
The webcam also records while you eat, so there is no escape from your mother if you plan on giving your lunch to an officemate instead.
Sounds like an ultimate guilt-tripping device.


DIGITAL PEN

Here's something weird and useless, its a pen that is digital, but you still have to write you know :s. the only advantage is saving some ink.

The Dane Elec Z Pen can keep track and digitize pen movements on a sheet of paper. The data is stored in a 1GB receiver unit that also stores the software needed to read the data. VACUUM CLEANER WITH A CAMERA

So now what, you will use a vacuum cleaner to record videos??

Robotic vacuums have become more popular since they can clean floor areas by themselves without any help. A convenient appliance indeed to have at home for doing those regular floor cleaning chores. And Samsung has just upped the ante by adding a camera on it on the recently released TangoView Robot Vacuum Cleaner.
The Samsung TangoView VC-RL87W Robot Vacuum Cleaner now features a built-in video camera. Not only does it clean those floors, the robot vacuum can also double as a home monitoring device that allows home owners to view what is going on in rooms that the robot vacuum is currently cleaning. Video feed can be viewed from a PC, a smartphone or a tablet (OH! So this is nothing more than a way of selling Tablets and Smartphone). This mode is only activated when the cleaning mode is off, so whats the use then '~'. The TangoView robotic vacuum also comes with a built-in mic that allows users not only to see but also to hear what is going on. The Samsung TangoView Robot Vacuum Cleaner is expected to be available in Korea at any time now. It is expected to cost around 799,000 Korean Won or around US$707. I'd rather spend that much money for some outing...;D

The Brother Earthquakes and their Sister Tsunamis

WOW!! Its not like I am excited about all the destruction in JAPAN. I saw the whole coverage for 3 hours constantly, feeling sorry for the poor people. I even met a Japanese student that day, who had his head in his hands, near to tears, watching his country facing one of the biggest disaster of all time. I did tell him that I felt very sorry for him.

He told me that he talked to his mom on cell phone and she told him that she cannot contact any of their relatives, which could have meant that the landlines were completely destroyed or that..... well lets face it, this kind of destruction hardly seem to leave anyone alive.

I said WOW! because the size of the tsunami wave that came that day was huge. even the cameramen shooting the live telecast were amazed. HOW! how does an earthquake, despite being so destructive itself, can bring upon something even more destructive than itself??.
