Cook & Trott............An Ashes Dream


On the final day of the 1st Ashes test, AN Cook and J Trott, destroyed Australian  line up with their fierceness and determined batting. AN Cook, enjoyed the Ashes Dream playing a knock of 235, stayed in the crease for 630 minutes with 26 boundaries. He became the highest run scorer at Gabba and also the only english player to have beaten a record set by the Australian Sir Don Bradman.

The day comprised mostly of Trott and Cook's ball pounding. England scored 517 for 1, which became the highest score by a team at Gabba. The Partnership b/w Cook and Trott was a record stand of 329 breaking the previous one set two days ago by Brad Haddin and Mike Hussey.

  1. Can't believe it that Cook has hit a double....I was surprised when I saw the scorecard today coz I thought that England have lost the match after tons by Hussey and Haddin....WELL DONE England
